We believe in functional design, strong relationships, and lasting impact.

The Finishing House offers a more curated, intentional and straightforward approach to furnishing and finishing a home — helping clients make confident decisions and enjoy the process instead of feeling overwhelmed by it.

From full-room concepts and painting plans to fitted wardrobes, TV media units, integrated LED detailing and carefully selected loose furniture, TFH brings every layer of a home together in a cohesive and considered way.

Our goal is to create homes that feel warm, elevated and fully finished — while making the journey feel calm, collaborative and clear from the very beginning.

We believe people should be able to buy a home and thoughtfully budget for the entire fit-out experience, rather than spending years trying to gradually piece everything together.

That’s why our approach focuses on transparency, clear processes, curated design and realistic luxury — offering clients the opportunity to complete their home properly, beautifully and intentionally in one seamless experience.

At TFH, it’s not just about how a home looks.

It’s about creating spaces — and an experience — that feel effortless, cohesive and deeply personal from day one.

Meet Katie & Rachel

The Finishing House was created from a shared belief that beautiful homes should feel achievable, exciting and genuinely enjoyable to put together.

Founded by Katie Maher and Rachel O’Sullivan, TFH combines over 40 years of experience across interiors, business, customer experience, project coordination and creative direction — blending instinctive design with grounded, practical execution.

After years working across creative and corporate environments, we recognised the same problem again and again: people were spending huge amounts of time trying to piece a home together themselves — endlessly researching, shopping aimlessly, second-guessing decisions or buying temporary pieces just to “do for now.”

The result is often homes that feel unfinished, disconnected or far more stressful and expensive than expected.

So we created something different…..
